I-Move Weekend Report: Ramp Closure Planned Overnight Saturday

Ramp from I-265 northbound to I-71 southbound closed from 8 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of upcoming traffic impacts this weekend as construction continues for the I-Move Kentucky project.

Work overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning will require the ramp from I-265 northbound to I-71 southbound to be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The short-term closure will allow for construction crews to do pavement demolition work on the ramp. This will allow them to incorporate a newly added lane to the existing roadway.

No other traffic impacts are planned this weekend as work progresses in several areas of the I-Move Kentucky project. Work schedules may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other unforeseen delays.

Drivers should be cautious when traveling through active construction areas. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures and construction zones.
