I-Move Traffic Alert: I-265 Lane Closures Wednesday

Guardrail replacement on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require lane closures throughout the day Wednesday, May 25. The work is part of the I-Move KY project.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, a contractor will replace guardrails at various locations along I-265 North and South between KY 155/Taylorsville Road (Exit 23) and I-64. Rolling lane closures will be in effect.

Motorists may encounter delays during this time. Use caution when traveling through active construction zones. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures.

I-Move Traffic Alert: I-265 Ramp Closure Tonight, Pothole Patching Tuesday

Work on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require an overnight ramp closure Monday night and lane closures throughout the day Tuesday. The work is part of the I-Move KY project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, May 23, the ramp from I-265 South to KY 155/Taylorsville Road at Exit 23 (Taylorsville/Jeffersontown) will be closed to traffic to allow for restriping. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, a contractor will also be filling potholes throughout the project area. Most of the work will be along I-265 North and South between U.S. 60/Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) and Old Henry Road (Exit 29). Lane closures will be in effect.

Drivers may encounter traffic delays during this time and should be cautious when traveling through active construction areas. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures and construction zones.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closure Tonight on I-71; I-265 Ramp Closure Planned for Monday

Work to move temporary barrier walls along Interstate 71 continues as part of the I-Move KY project. Overnight lane closures will be in effect for both the north and southbound lanes.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, May 20, traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-71 North between I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and the Brownsboro Road overpass near mile marker 10. The southbound side of I-71 will also be reduced to one lane between the rest area in Crestwood at mile marker 13 and the Moser Farm Road overpass near mile marker 12.

These lane closures will be in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday.

Next week, a construction crew will block an exit ramp on I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) for restriping work. Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, May 23, the ramp from I-265 South to KY 155/Taylorsville Road at Exit 23 (Taylorsville/Jeffersontown) will be closed to all traffic. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, May 19, traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-71 North between I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and the Brownsboro Road overpass near mile marker 10. The southbound side of I-71 will also be reduced to one lane between the rest area in Crestwood at mile marker 13 and the Moser Farm Road overpass near mile marker 12.

These lane closures will be in effect until 6 a.m. Friday. The same lane closures will be in place from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.
