I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closures on I-71 Thursday and Friday Night

Work to move temporary barrier walls will require overnight lane closures Thursday and Friday on Interstate 71. This work is part of the I-Move KY project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, May 19, traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-71 North between I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and the Brownsboro Road overpass near mile marker 10. The southbound side of I-71 will also be reduced to one lane between the rest area in Crestwood at mile marker 13 and the Moser Farm Road overpass near mile marker 12.

These lane closures will be in effect until 6 a.m. Friday. The same lane closures will be in place from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.

Drivers may experience traffic delays during this time and should use caution when driving through construction zones. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures.
