I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane and Ramp Closures on I-71, I-265 and I-64 Starting Tonight
Lane and ramp closures on I-71, I-265, and I-64 will be in place starting tonight, Nov. 1. An additional closure has been added in bold. This work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.
Friday, Nov. 1
- I-64 westbound from I-265 to Blankenbaker Parkway (Exit 17) will be shifted to the two right lanes starting today at noon. This shift will be in place for several weeks while crews complete work in the left lane.
- Beginning at 7 p.m., I-71 northbound from the rest area to KY 329 will be reduced to one lane. Crews will install additional guardrails. This closure will be in place until Saturday morning at 6 a.m.
- At 7 p.m., I-71 southbound from KY 329 until the rest area will be reduced to one lane. Crews will install additional guardrails. This closure will be in place until Saturday at 6 a.m.
- At 8 p.m., I-265 northbound will be reduced to one lane at the I-64 overpass bridge. Crews will be performing bridge maintenance work. This closure will be in place until Monday morning at 6 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 2
- Beginning at 7 a.m., the ramp from I-64 eastbound to I-265 northbound (Exit 19B) will be completely closed. The detour will be to travel on I-265 southbound to Taylorsville Road (Exit 23) and then turn around to I-265 northbound. Crews are finishing pavement on this ramp. This closure will be in place until Saturday at 7 p.m.
Work may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events. Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones.
