I-Move Traffic Alert: I-265 Lane Closure Tonight

Work along Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require an overnight lane closure tonight, Feb. 27. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, I-265 North will be reduced to one lane between Old Henry Road (Exit 29) and KY 146/La Grange Road (Exit 30) to allow the contractor to pour concrete for pavement. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.

I-Move Traffic Alert: I-71 Blasting Work Resumes Tomorrow

Blasting along Interstate 71 is set to resume Thursday, Feb. 16, as part of the I-Move Kentucky project to expand I-71 to six lanes.

Beginning Thursday and continuing for the next several months, crews will perform regular blasting work along I-71 between Moser Farm Road near mile marker 12 and KY 329 (Exit 14). The timeframe for blasting will generally be weekdays between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. when weather conditions are dry.

Rolling traffic stoppages will be in effect for both southbound and northbound I-71 to ensure the safety of workers and drivers. The roadway will typically reopen to traffic within 15 minutes unless debris cleanup is necessary.

I-Move Week Ahead: Closures on I-265 for Sign Installation Next Week

The installation of new overhead signs will require rolling roadblocks and lane closures on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) next week as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

From 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, various lane closures and rolling roadblocks will be in place on I-265 North and South between KY 155/Taylorsville Road (Exit 23) and I-64 (Exit 25).

The same closures will be in place 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16.
