I-Move Traffic Alert: Major Traffic Switch at the I-64/I-265 Interchange Planned for Monday

A major traffic switch for the existing I-265 North to I-64 West ramp is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 5. This work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Saturday, Aug. 3

Beginning Saturday at 7 a.m., the ramp from I-64 West to I-265 North (Exit 19B) will be closed. Crews will be performing some barrier wall maintenance. This closure will be in place until noon on Saturday.

Sunday, Aug. 4

Beginning Sunday at 5 p.m., the I-265 North to I-64 West ramp (Exit 25B) and the I-265 South to I-64 West ramp (Exit 25B) will be closed. This closure will be in place until Monday at 6 a.m.

The detour to any exit on I-64 West will be to take I-71 South to I-264 West and then to I-64 East or I-64 West. These closures are in place so that crews can restripe and tie in the new I-265 North ramp to I-64 West ramp.

Monday, Aug. 5

Beginning Monday at 6 a.m., the new ramp from I-265 North to I-64 West (Exit 25B), south of I-64, will be in place and open. The old I-265 North to I-64 West Exit 19B cloverleaf ramp north of I-64 will no longer be in place and will permanently be closed.

Reminders: Wednesday, July 31

I-71 South and I-71 North, south of the southbound rest area (Mile Marker 13), will be reduced to one lane. Crews will be installing pavement markings. This closure will now be in place tonight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and tomorrow night from 8 p.m. until Friday at 6 a.m.

Beginning today at approximately 2 p.m., I-64 East and I-64 West, near the I-265 interchange, will experience rolling road closures for up to 15 minutes. This will be a daily occurrence until further notice. These rolling road closures are being performed to safely blast rock in the area.

Also, beginning tonight at 8 p.m., the right lane of the ramp from I-64 East to I-265 South (Exit 19A) will be closed. Crews will be installing an overhead sign truss. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m.

Work may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.
