I-Move Weekend Report: Paving on I-71 requires lane closure this weekend

Traffic on I-71 southbound to the east of the I-71/I-265 interchange will be impacted

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet continues to make progress on the I-Move Kentucky project as crews work in several areas of I-71 and I-265.

Paving operations this weekend on I-71 southbound will require traffic to be reduced to one lane from Friday at 8 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m. Lane closures will start south of the rest area at mile point 11 and end north of the Brownsboro Road overpass near mile marker 10.5.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen delays. Drivers should be cautious when traveling through active construction areas. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures and construction zones.
