I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on I-71; Final Paving for Brownsboro Road Bridge

A lane closure will be in effect on Interstate 71 tonight and crews will begin final paving operations on a new bridge as part of the I-Move KY project.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-71 South between KY 329 (Exit 14, Crestwood/Pewee Valley) and I-265 beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, June 22, until 6 a.m. Thursday. The lane closure will allow for the relocation of a temporary barrier wall.

Beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, the KY 1694/Brownsboro Road bridge over I-71 will be reduced to a single lane to prep for final paving of the bridge approaches. Flaggers will be in place to maintain traffic flow throughout the day Thursday, with paving operations scheduled for completion by 6 a.m. Friday, June 24.

Drivers may encounter delays during this time and should use caution when driving through construction zones.
