I-Move Traffic Alert: Ramp Closures at the I-71/I-265 Interchange Friday; Lane Closure on I-265

Ongoing work to widen Interstate 71 and Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) as part of the I-Move Kentucky project will require major overnight ramp closures and a lane closure Friday, Aug. 5.

The following ramp closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday for paving:

  • Ramp from I-265 North to I-71 South
  • Ramp from I-265 South to I-71 South
  • Ramp from I-71 South to I-265 South

Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, the left lane of I-265 North between Aiken Road near mile marker 28 and Old Henry Road (Exit 29) will be closed for concrete paving. The closure will last until noon Saturday.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers should be cautious when traveling through active work zones. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures and construction zones.
