Pothole patching on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require rolling lane closures Thursday, December 29. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, rolling lane closures will be in place on I-265 South and North between U.S. 60/Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) and Old Henry Road (Exit 29) for pothole patching.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Long-Term Lane Closure on I-64 Starts Thursday

Work at the Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and I-64 interchange will require long-term lane closures starting Thursday, Dec. 15. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, the left lanes of both I-64 East and West will be closed at the I-265 bridge. This is a long-term closure that will allow for construction to begin on the new flyover bridge over I-64 as part of the reconfigured I-64/I-265 interchange.

The lane closures will not affect access to the interchange ramps.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, I-71 South will be reduced to one lane from KY 329 (Crestwood/Peewee Valley) to Moser Farm Road near mile marker 12. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Friday and will allow for temporary barrier wall maintenance.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, the right lanes of I-265 North and South will be closed from U.S. 60/Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) to KY 146/La Grange Road (Exit 30, Anchorage/Pewee Valley) for pothole patching.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow, I-265 North will be reduced to one lane from KY 155/Taylorsville Road (Exit 23) to I-64 (Exit 25) for shoulder work.
