I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on Gene Snyder Starts Tonight

Concrete work on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require a lane closure starting Friday, March 31. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Beginning at midnight tonight, the left lane of I-265 South will be closed from KY 146/La Grange Road (Exit 30) to Old Henry Road (Exit 29) for concrete pavement work.

The closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday, April 3.

Next Week

From 8 p.m. Monday, April 3, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, crews will be restriping I-265 North and South from KY 146/La Grange Road (Exit 30) to Westport Road (Exit 32). Closures will be in place that will require traffic to switch lanes between Exit 30 and Exit 32.

The same work will occur from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, and from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, weather depending. Drivers should stay alert and follow directions as posted.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.
