Restriping and pavement work on the I-Move Kentucky project will require overnight ramp and lane closures on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) starting tonight, Friday, Oct. 13.
Additional closures will occur on Saturday and Sunday.
Overnight Ramp Closure
Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, the ramp from I-265 North to U.S. 60/Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) will be closed for pavement work.
The ramp closure will be in place until 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14.
Overnight Lane Closures
Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, I-265 North and South will be reduced to one lane between Westport Road (Exit 32) and Brownsboro Road (Exit 34) for restriping. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14.
The same closure will also be in place on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 4 p.m. until approximately 10 p.m.
The area is being restriped to allow for a long-term traffic shift that will move drivers toward the right shoulder.
Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events. Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.
