Multiple lane and ramp closures are planned on the I-64/I-265 Interchange and I-71 starting Friday, Jan. 5, until Thursday, Jan. 11. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.
Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
Friday, Jan. 5
Beginning Friday at 6 p.m., the right lane of I-64 West will be closed at the I-265 interchange. This closure will remain in place for the foreseeable future to allow for construction phasing at the interchange.
Also, from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday, the right lane of I-265 South to I-64 West and the exit ramp will be closed. The detour from I-265 South to I-64 West will use the triple loop interchange (I-265 S to I-64 E to I-265 N to I-64 W).
Monday, Jan. 8
Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, the right lane of I-71 North over Moser Farm Road will be closed to allow crews to relocate the barrier wall to I-71 South for future blasting work. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Wednesday, Jan. 10
Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday the ramp from I-265 South to I-64 West will be closed to allow for barrier wall relocation. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.
