Pothole repairs on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require a lane closure Thursday, July 28. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, I-265 North will be reduced to one lane between I-64 (Exit 25) and Old Henry Road (Exit 29) for pothole patching.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers may encounter traffic delays during this time and should be cautious when traveling through active construction areas. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures and construction zones.

Work on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require a ramp and lane closure Wednesday, July 20. This activity is part of the I-Move KY project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, the ramp from I-265 South to KY 155/Taylorsville Road at Exit 23 (Taylorsville/Jeffersontown) will be closed for the removal of a temporary barrier wall. The closure will last until midnight. Possible detours include I-265 South to I-64 West and Blankenbaker Parkway (Exit 17) or continue south on I-265 to KY 1819/Billtown Road at Exit 19.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, the left lane of I-265 North from Old Henry Road (Exit 29) to KY 146/La Grange Road (Exit 30) will be closed for temporary barrier wall installation. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Thursday.

Drivers may encounter delays during this time and should use caution when driving through work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers to lane closures. Weather or other unforeseen delays may affect the work schedule.

Striping on U.S. 60/Shelbyville Road and a traffic shift on Interstate 71 will take place tonight as part of the I-Move KY project.

Permanent striping will be installed on Shelbyville Road at the I-265 interchange from 8 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Thursday, requiring lane closures throughout the night.

Also starting at 8 p.m. tonight, traffic on I-71 South will be shifted to the left two lanes between Moser Farm Road near mile marker 12 and the I-265 bridge.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-71 South between Moser Farm Road near mile marker 12 and I-265 beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, June 24, until 6 a.m. Saturday.

Lane closures are scheduled overnight on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) as part of ongoing work for the I-Move Kentucky project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, June 20, the right lane of both I-265 North and South will be closed between Old Henry Road (Exit 29) and KY 146/La Grange Road (Exit 30). Construction crews will be filling in the shoulder rumble strips in preparation for a traffic lane shift this week. The lane closures will be in effect until no later than 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Blasting along I-71 in Oldham County resumes tomorrow. Beginning Tuesday, June 21, and continuing for the next several months, crews will perform regular blasting work along I-71 South near the rest area in Crestwood at mile marker 13. The timeframe for blasting will generally be weekdays between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. when weather conditions are dry.

Rolling traffic stoppages will be in effect for both northbound and southbound I-71. These brief closures are for the safety of workers and drivers. The roadway will typically reopen to traffic within 15 minutes unless debris cleanup is necessary.

I-Move KY is adding travel lanes to I-71 between I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and KY 329 (Crestwood/Pewee Valley). The material being excavated in Oldham County totals around 708,000 cubic yards, half of which is solid rock.
