Lane closures planned on Shelbyville Road at I-265 overpass

Bridge construction along Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) over US 60 / Shelbyville Road will affect traffic tonight, Jan. 4. The work is part of the I-Move KY project.

From 9 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, traffic on Shelbyville Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the I-265 overpass. The lane closures will allow construction workers to remove bridge forms used during a recent deck pour for the wider I-265 bridges.

Motorists on Shelbyville Road may experience delays and should use caution when driving through active construction areas. Left turn lanes from Shelbyville Road to I-265 may be shifted throughout the night.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen delays.
