I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane and Ramp Closures Planned on I-265

One lane of Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and a ramp at the I-265/I-64 interchange will be closed Thursday, March 31, for right-of-way tree clearing. The work is part of the I-Move KY project.

Beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow, the right lane of I-265 South will be closed between I-64 and KY 155 (Taylorsville Road/Exit 23). This closure will remain in effect until noon.

From noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, the ramp from I-265 North to I-64 East (Exit 25A) will be closed for tree clearing. Both closures are necessary because tree limbs and other debris may fall into the roadway.

Drivers on I-265 North can navigate the ramp closure by utilizing three of the interchange’s cloverleaf ramps:

  • Continue north on I-265 and take Exit 25B to I-64 West
  • Stay in the right lane and immediately exit I-64 West via Exit 19A to I-265 South
  • From I-265 South, take Exit 25A to I-64 East

Motorists may experience delays and should be cautious when driving through active construction areas. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures.
