I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closures on Gene Snyder Start Tonight

Work on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require weekend lane closures beginning Friday, July 22. The construction is part of the I-Move KY project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, I-265 North between KY 155/Taylorsville Road (Exit 23) and I-64 (Exit 25) will be reduced to one lane for surface paving. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Monday, July 25.

The work had been scheduled for the previous weekend but was postponed due to the weather.

From 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, I-265 South will also be reduced to one lane at Aiken Road near mile marker 28 for a concrete lane pour.

Weather or other unforeseen delays may affect this weekend’s work schedule.

Drivers may encounter delays during this time and should use caution when driving through work zones. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers to construction and lane closures.
