I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closures on Gene Snyder Start Tonight

Construction on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require multiple overnight lane closures starting Tuesday, Aug. 30. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, the left lane of I-265 South from Old Henry Road (Exit 29) to Aiken Road near mile marker 28 will be closed for pavement pouring. The closure will last until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, the right lanes of I-265 North and South will be closed from La Grange Road (Exit 30, Anchorage/Peewee Valley) to Westport Road (Exit 32) for shoulder work. The closures will last until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The same closures on I-265 North and South between La Grange Road and Westport Road will also occur:

  • 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday
  • 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday
  • 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Motorists should be cautious when traveling through active work zones. Signage and flaggers will be in place to alert drivers of lane closures and construction zones.
