I-Move Traffic Alert: Rolling Closures on Gene Snyder Sunday for Traffic Shift

A minor traffic shift on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require rolling road closures and intermittent ramp closures Sunday, Oct. 23. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

From 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, a contractor will perform a minor traffic shift on I-265 North between I-64 (Exit 25) and Shelbyville Road (Exit 27). Rolling road closures will be in place.

Intermittent ramp closures will also occur on the following ramps:

  • I-265 North to I-64 East (Exit 25A)
  • I-265 North to I-64 West (Exit 25B)

The traffic shift will not change the traffic split configuration. Traffic in the far left lane will continue to utilize the current southbound lanes, with barrier walls in place to separate northbound and southbound traffic.

Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.

Drivers should consider alternate routes when possible. Remember to use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.
