I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closures along I-71 North and I-71 South on Tuesday, August 6

Overnight lane closures will be in place along I-71 North and I-71 South starting Tuesday, August 6 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Tuesday, August 6th (8 p.m. – 6 a.m.):

The left two lanes of I-71 NB will be closed from Brownsboro Road to the Rest Area for pavement marker installation.

The right lane on I-71 NB will be closed at Exit 14 for asphalt paving. Exit 14 will also be closed during this time.

The I-71 SB left lane will be closed from Moser Farm Road to Chamberlain Lane for pavement marker installation.

Work may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events. Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closures on I-71 North and I-71 South Starting Tonight

Lane closures will be in place on I-71 North and I-71 South starting tonight, Tuesday, July 30 as part of the I-Move Kentucky project. Additional closures will begin on I-64 East and I-64 West on Wednesday, July 31.  

Tuesday, July 30 

Beginning tonight at 8 p.m., I-71 South and I-71 North, south of the southbound rest area (Mile Marker 13), will be reduced to one lane. Crews will be installing pavement markings. This closure will be in place until Wednesday at 6 a.m.  

Wednesday, July 31 

Beginning Wednesday at approximately 2 p.m., I-64 East and I-64 West, near the I-265 interchange, will experience rolling road closures for up to 15 minutes. This will be a daily occurrence until further notice. These rolling road closures are being performed to safely blast rock in the area.  

Also, beginning Wednesday at 8 p.m., the right lane of the ramp from I-64 East to I-265 South (Exit 19A) will be closed. Crews will be installing an overhead sign truss. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Ramp Closure on I-71 North Starting Friday

A ramp closure will be in place on Interstate 71 North starting Friday, July 19 as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.  

Beginning Friday at 8 p.m., the ramp from I-71 North to KY 329 (Exit 14) will be closed. Crews will be performing concrete work on the ramp. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday morning.  

Reminder: Friday, July 19 

Also, beginning Friday at 8 p.m., the contractor will reduce I-265 North to one lane over Shelbyville Road. This lane closure will be in place so that crews can perform bridge maintenance work. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday morning.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane and Ramp Closures on I-265 and I-71 North Starting Tonight

Lane and ramp closures will be in place on I-265 and I-71 North for guardrail repairs starting tonight, July 1 as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.  

Monday, July 1 

Beginning tonight at 7 p.m., I-71 North will be reduced to one lane at the KY 329 Crestwood/Pewee Valley exit (Exit 14). Crews will be performing guardrail repairs in the area. This closure will be in place until 9 p.m. tonight. 

Beginning tonight at 8 p.m., the Westport Road ramp (Exit 32) to I-265 South will be closed. Also, I-265 South will be reduced to one lane at Westport Road. Crews will be performing guardrail repairs in the area. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.  

 

Tuesday, July 2 

Beginning Tuesday at 8 p.m., I-265 North at Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) will be reduced to one lane. Crews will be performing guardrail replacement in the area. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closures on I-265 North and I-71 North Starting Friday

Lane closures will be in place on I-265 North and I-71 North starting Friday, June 28 as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.  

Beginning Friday at 8 p.m., I-265 North from Westport Road (Exit 32) to Brownsboro Road (Exit 34) will be reduced to one lane. Crews will be performing concrete paving installation. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday morning. 

Beginning Friday at 8 p.m., I-71 North will be reduced to one lane from the I-265 overpass to the rest area near mile marker 13. Crews will be performing asphalt surface installation. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday morning.

I-Move Week Ahead: Lane Closures on Gene Snyder Start Next Week

Lane closures will be in place on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and Interstate 71 starting on Tuesday, May 28. Additional closures are planned throughout next week as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.  

Tuesday, May 28  

Beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, I-265 northbound from I-64 to Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) will be reduced to one lane. The left lane of I-265 southbound will be closed entirely during the closure. These closures will be in place until 6 a.m. Wednesday to allow crews to install an overhead sign truss.  

Also, beginning Tuesday at 8 p.m., I-265 northbound from Brownsboro Road (Exit 34) to one mile past the I-71 interchange will be reduced to one lane. This work will shift lanes to the right. The closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Wednesday.  

The same closure will be in place 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.  

 

Thursday, May 30 

Beginning 8 p.m. Thursday, I-265 southbound from Westport Road (Exit 32) to LaGrange Road (Exit 30) will be reduced to one lane for temporary barrier wall removal. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Friday.  

Additionally, starting 8 p.m. Thursday, I-265 northbound from Brownsboro Road (Exit 34) to one mile past the I-71 interchange will be reduced to one lane for the installation of temporary barrier wall. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Friday.  

 

Friday, May 31 

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, I-265 northbound will be reduced to one lane on the I-265 northbound bridge over all lanes of I-71. Crews will be performing bridge maintenance work. This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday, June 3.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Upcoming Lane and Ramp Closures Starting Tonight

Multiple lane and ramp closures are planned on Interstate 71, I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and I-64 beginning tonight, Thursday, April 11, until Monday, April 15, as part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

Thursday, April 11th

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-71 just south of Moser Farm Road near mile marker 12 for crews to perform shoulder maintenance.

This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Friday.

Friday, April 12th

Beginning Friday at 8 p.m., I-265 northbound between Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) and Old Henry Road (Exit 29) will be closed for crews to perform shoulder work.

Also, starting at 8 p.m. Friday, the right lane at I-64 westbound approaching Blankenbaker Parkway (Exit 17) will be closed to extend the I-64 westbound shoulder work.

Both closures will be in place until 6 a.m. Saturday.

In addition, starting at 8 p.m. Friday, the ramp from I-265 northbound to I-64 eastbound (Exit 25A) will be closed to shift the ramp.

This closure will be in place until Monday morning at 6 a.m.

Sunday, April 14th

Beginning Sunday at 7 a.m., the ramp from I-64 eastbound to I-265 southbound (Exit 19A) will be closed to shift traffic to the right of this ramp.

This closure will be in place until 6 p.m. Sunday.

Also, beginning on Sunday at 6 a.m., various areas on I-71 southbound will be reduced to one lane for temporary barrier wall relocation.

This closure will be in place until Monday at 6 a.m.

I-Move Week Ahead: Lane and Ramp Closures Planned This Weekend

Additional closures have been added since the last advisory.

Multiple lane and ramp closures are planned on Interstate 71 and at the I-64/I-265 interchange this weekend as part of the I-Move Kentucky project. 

 

Friday, April 5 

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, the entrance from Westport Road (Exit 32) to I-265 South will be closed for sound wall construction.  

Also, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, the right lane at I-265 South (Exit 9A) will be closed at the overpass for sound wall construction. 

Both closures will last until 8 a.m. Saturday. 

 

Saturday, April 6

Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, the right lane at I-265 northbound at the South Pope Lick overpass will be closed for roadside maintenance.

The closure will last until 6 p.m. Saturday.

 

Sunday, April 7 

Beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, a lane closure will be in place at I-64 East approaching the I-265 overpass for lane realignment and bridge work.  

Also, beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, a ramp closure will be in place from I-265 northbound to I-64 East for lane realignment at I-64 eastbound (Exit 25A).  

Both closures will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday.  

 

Monday, April 8 

Beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, a lane closure will be in place at I-64 West (Exit 25B) approaching the flyover bridge for bridge work. 

This closure will be in place until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on Gene Snyder Tonight

Work on the I-Move Kentucky project will require overnight lane closures on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) starting tonight, Wednesday, March 20.

Wednesday, March 20

Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, I-265 North between Old Henry Road (Exit 29) and La Grange Road (Exit 30) will be reduced to one lane for barrier wall relocation.

The closure will last until 6 a.m. Thursday.

Thursday, March 21

Beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, I-265 North from Taylorsville Road (Exit 23) to I-64 (Exit 25) will be reduced to one lane for barrier wall relocation.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, I-71 will be reduced to one lane between Brownsboro Road and Moser Farm Road for electrical work.

Both closures will last until 6 a.m. Friday.

I-Move Traffic Alert: Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled on I-71 and I-64/I-265 Interchange

Guardrail work on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) will require an additional ramp closure tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 10. The work is part of the I-Move Kentucky project.

I-265 Ramp Closures 

Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, the ramp from I-265 South to I-64 West (Exit 25B) will be closed to allow for barrier wall relocation.

Also beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, the ramp from I-265 North to La Grange Road (Exit 30) will be closed for guardrail work. 

Both closures will last until 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11. 

I-71 Lane Closure
