The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet continues to make progress on the I-Move Kentucky project as crews work in several areas of I-71, I-64 and I-265. Work to move a temporary barrier wall will require lane closures overnight tonight (Monday) and tomorrow night (Tuesday).

On Monday and Tuesday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, traffic will be reduced by one lane on I-265 northbound and southbound to move a temporary barrier wall. The lane closure will begin at Aiken Road at mile point 27.7 and continue to Old Henry Road at mile point 28.8.

On Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday morning, traffic will be reduced by one lane on I-265 northbound for shoulder repair work. The lane closure will begin at Old Henry Road at mile point 28.8 and continue to Shelbyville Road at mile point 26.8.

Starting Thursday at 8 p.m., traffic will be shifted to the right on I-265 northbound for work on the median. This traffic shift will be in place for several months starting near Aiken Road at mile point 27.7 and continuing to Old Henry Road at mile point 28.8.

Rolling road blocks will be in place as each beam is set on the Brownsboro Road bridge at mile marker 10.3. The C-D lane near mile point 9.4 of I-71 southbound will be closed while this work is completed as well as three ramps at the I-71/I-265 interchange including: ramp from I-71 southbound to I-265 southbound; ramp from I-265 northbound to I-71 southbound; and ramp from I-71 southbound to I-265 northbound.

Tonight (Monday) and for several nights over the next few weeks from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, traffic will be reduced by one lane on I-265 northbound for work on the shoulder. The lane closure will start near Aiken Road at mile point 27.7 and continue to La Grange Road at mile point 30.4.

Tonight (Monday) and for several nights over the next few weeks from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, work on I-71 at the I-265 interchange will continue as crews mill and pave the roadway. Ramp and lane closures at the interchange will change nightly while the multi-day paving project is completed, weather permitting.
